The Visiting Nurse Association of Tulsa and Oklahoma City has a long history of offering preventative healthcare to the local area communities. A major component of our commitment to public health has been our Flu Immunization Program; the largest of its kind within the area.

Influenza Vaccines start in September and continue throughout the season. Although the optimal time to be vaccinated is September through November, vaccinating beyond November is important and beneficial because the peak of Influenza Disease typically occurs in February or later.

The VNA of Tulsa and Oklahoma City recommends that everyone who receives the Flu Vaccination still needs to practice healthy habits! This includes, washing your hands, staying home from work when infected, avoiding touching your eyes, nose or mouth and covering your nose or mouth when coughing or sneezing.

So why get a Flu Shot from the VNA? Well, not only would you be protecting your family from that dreadful Flu Bug but you will be helping out your community and those less fortunate as well. As a non-profit agency, all proceeds from the Flu Clinics will offset the cost associated with providing home health care to local residents who are in need. The Visiting Nurse Association (VNA) nurses and staff have years of dedicated service and experience with a professional approach.
