FLU SHOTS BEGIN OCTOBER 1st!

Health experts recommend annual influenza vaccination for more than 220 million people in the U.S. Despite this recommendation, influenza immunization rates fall far short every year. State wide, between 175,000 and 700,000 residents will suffer from influenza in an average year.

Influenza, along with its complications, is a serious respiratory illness. On average, 36,000 Americans die and about 226,000 people are hospitalized each year. Vaccination is a safe and effective way to prevent influenza and its complications.

In addition to the health benefit, your support of the Visiting Nurse Association and our annual “Fight the Flu Campaign” allows us to provide Home Health Care to the less fortunate all year long!
